Yay, some Monday inspirationnn, fueling the energy ???? Thanks for keeping us in the loop! About to onboard another project to the platform, hehe.

About onboarding new tribe members, there’s so many people joining but most don’t fill in their profile still. I suppose because it takes “too long” to fill to 100%. Maybe highlighting 1-3 aspects would help so members take a couple minutes to add some (ideally the most significant) info right away.

I saw some welcome-comments, I think from @oscarregen11 suggesting to start with the dream community.

Considering starting a discussion in the welcome group asking newbies directly what’s keeping them from filling it in/what they’d need to do so right away…?

Recording a short intro video (so it’s actually gonna be watched) also crossed my mind.

So nice to see the total number of members balloon from 12 to 200+ haha.

Reckon most people just sign up to browse, first – unless they’re looking/joining for something very specific. I guess that most people don’t have the bandwidth/patience for exploring/searching within a new resource.

I get overwhelmed by the multitudes of labels, words, information & unfamiliar structures – it’s just hard for me to know what i’m looking at, much less ‘where’ to look – and i’m pretty much the type of person who likes to poke around software tools (i have much less time for that now).

From what i reckon is a very ‘mainstream’ point-of-view… there’s also no instant gratification/rewards upon signup other than a sense of community – eg. new apps that pay me in redeemable referral credits (actual spendable MONEYYYYYY!!! FREE MONEY!!! FREE FOOD!!!! lol) just to sign up (competitive commercial companies clawing for market share).

Also 3 cents of brain-waves dumping in words! Haha

Haha 2 things came immediately to mind:

1. Market/Product positioning

2. How do you justify the value of $HUGS? What is it pegged to/correlated with? A bank account of FIAT$? A parcel of land? There’s always a coupling of BTC/USD & while that’s just the realm/notion of ‘cryptocurrencies/digitized alternative economy’ $HUGS can’t just be based on thin air…

Cuz then there might not be enough things to liquidate/exchange/redeem it for. What does a $HUG represent? A unit of time that can be exchanged for x?

In blockchainland they call it “tokenomics”, I call it supermarket rewards system/common-sense Cashback ???? but it all comes down to fixed/unlimited supply & liquidity/redeemability…

To my mind/understanding, if $HUGS is a type of ‘sweat equity’ token then it ought to be just that… There can be other tokens to represent redeemable credits, units of accounts, voting power, ownership, stake. Of course the tokens can have multiple/overlapping functions.

In the simplest form hugs are tokens that can be spent within Regen Tribe Ecosystem’s offerings
– experiences (co.lives, events), courses
– within the Platform – outreach benefit (highlight of your project etc.)
– discount on offerings from regen real estate portfolio
– discount on our Agency end to end consulting offering

As an exmaple we are designing a Training Program for RT Agents – people that would like to support regenerative neighborhoods as end to end consultants
You can pay full price for it or you can contribute your time and skills and have a more accessible price.

It is a win win for us and the other side.

And as we are expanding our ecosystem to different initiatives and collaboarting with more orgs that list will grow

how do you handle subjective value for the $hugs concept?

1. We invite each collaborator to set a reasonable market value price for work they do.
1a. The collective takes a vote on what they are able to pay for certain exchanges.
– sometimes in fiat, sometimes in crypto, sometimes with the covering of #UBN (universal basic needs), and sometimes with $Hugs to make up for the difference as an IOU style economy for later exchange for events, co.lives, courses, trainings, discounts on land purchases or services, etc….

2. We set bounties for the missions we seek support with based on need and urgency,

3. Our goal is for 40 hrs of work per week, team mates are guaranteed a $1,111 USD value of Universal Basic Income per month. – Either in fiat, crypto, or $Hugs
So our basic tokenomics are starting at – $1,111 / 160 hrs in a month of work = $6.94 per hug.
